Student Work

Academia

Art ignites. Providing light, hope, change and freedom!

I am committed to leading and prolonging the integrity of the design industry by educating a diverse population of students into believing and pursuing their dreams and goals as creatives. My classroom environment is inclusive and focuses on learning by solving design problems based on lectures, group discussion, student research, experimentation, critical thought, case studies, one-on-one mentoring, presentation, critiques and lab. My standards for all classes are kept high in return, students perform to the best of their ability.

Student Project Examples

Through observation and documentation, this senior capstone course, allows students to work independently from initial concept to final execution with a local non-profit organization. The course presents a comprehensive understanding of their academic experience. Proficiency is demonstrated in both studio and general education courses through a written, oral, and visual presentation.

By the end of the course students should be able to:

  • Develop an understanding of integrating their personal vision with the design problem.
  • Develop an understanding of time management and conceptual thinking
  • Demonstrate the ability to self-direct, time manage, analyze and present their project goals and progress.
